Welcome to our Demo Website!

A website is a fantastic resource for any community group. If you are looking to build your membership, raise funds or mount a campaign, whatever your targets, it's a great way to get your message out.

Play your part in your community by using one of our websites to keep your message noticed and up to date.

Welcome to our website! How it all works

Our websites keep your latest content noticeable by changing their layout as you add to them.

It does this by allowing you to log in, add pages, create, modify and delete your content, whenever you want.

This page and all the others can be changed using an Admin Menu system like the one on the left.

We have kept this one on display, but to keep your website safe, it is only available once you log in.

Behind the scenes

You need people to find your website and this is where Search Engine Optimisation comes in. Our package comes with a sitemap, clean links and metadata to help people find you on the web.

Keeping your information safe is extra important. We backup your website every day automatically. Also, your content is protected by a login system with password security.

We make it easy for you to know if people are visiting. To do this we build Google Analytics into your website. It's the industry's leading analytical system. Once you log in, you will be able to find out how you are doing using an easy to find link in your website's Admin Menu.

Our package includes hosting fees, together with any available domain name, for 12 months. After that, if you move on, then the domain name remains yours!

Membership

Use your community website to get new members and keep the exisiting membership involved.

Every community has a story to tell and your website can display articles with local news, opinion and information. Having them together on your own website creates interest and builds membership for your group.

Fundraising

Raising funds is an important part of any community project. Without money, you won't get the job done.

Using your website is a great tool for fundraising. Turn the interest of your community website visitors into a source of revenue for your cause.

Campaigns

If you don't like something about your neighbourhood, use a campaign to change it! To be successful though you will need to get some publicity.

The latest news, information and opinions on your community website are a sure way to get attention for the issues you care about.

Swimming pool neededA decent aquatic facility is conspicuously absent in the eastern parts of the city. A drive to a far off pool is about the best option.

It's really quite surprising really. What with canoeing on the river, windsurfing nearby, swimming at the beach and boating over in the harbour, there's water everywhere.

Our luck seemed to be changing in 2006, with a reference to a new pool on our side of town in the City Plan. That was back then. Now, the money to pay for our pool has been left out of the current draft. This has led to considerable concern in our community who feel the whole project is now in doubt.

Council decision out!Judging by the number of responses to the proposed building plans for the land above our valley, we know people care deeply about this project. They will be interested therefore to hear what the latest version of the building project has in store for us: larger section sizes!

The new proposal goes before our community board, and from there to the council for adoption, with a chance for public submissions after that.

Residents will recall that we recently rejected a high density project that featured small section sizes. As a result of our submissions, the new proposal is to make the minimum section size 750 m2 between the road frontage and a line based around the 20 metre contour and a proposed waterway corridor.
